What Is Wire EDM?

Wire EDM or electrical discharge machining is a manufacturing process where wire and electrodes generate sparks to erode away or cut into various metals (also known as workpieces). Via the EDM process, complex and custom features can be obtained with near perfect precision.

Splitting Hairs. For example, a human hair has a width of .003". A&H Wire EDM is capable of machining on customers components with high precision tolerances of +/- .0001.

A&H Wire EDM offers CNC sinker EDM. CNC sinker EDM is a process where an electrode and workpiece are submerged in an insulating liquid. The benefit of CNC sinker EDM is the ability to work on complex 3D shapes, often with small or odd shaped angles and textures.
